I bet you’d pass a lie detector test
with that heart of yours
Oh, so cold.
You knew the God of Mischief was not to be trusted, especially after the occurrence of Midgard. There was a problem though, you knew Loki when you were a child, and you two were close friends. It was hard to let go of the fact that Loki was power-hungry, you just couldn’t accept it. Sometimes you felt like he hypnotized you to see his side, but other times you had to deny him. It was challenging, you couldn’t deny that, but you had the power to resist. His heart was one of stone, but somehow you were an exception, and you weren’t sure why.
Colorful lullabies will coat your mess
Hide those eyes of yours
Oh, so sold
After the battle on Midgard, you decided to isolate yourself from him a bit more, but you decided you couldn’t take the loneliness. He was trapped in a jail cell, anyway, it’s not like you could see him whenever you desired. But you tended to visit Loki at least twice a week and you would talk to him for a matter of hours, and others, a couple of minutes. He’d drive you up a wall sometimes, and drive you absolutely insane, and that was when you’d leave him alone to sulk. Loki was a mess, to put it bluntly, and you hadn’t expected it, but it didn’t matter as the visits passed by.
You weren’t sure what to say most times, and other times he would do all of the talking. There was an idea that popped into your head after a few minutes of awkward silence.
“I know that this isn’t you.”
His piercing blue-green orbs looked at you in interest, “Pardon?”
“You know…when you’ve tried to rule of Midgard…when you’re jealous. It’s not you, I know it’s not.
Cause I’ve seen your soul, and you’re not so when we are alone.” you told him.
The god raised a black eyebrow, “No? I suppose not… But you are implying something, surely?”
“Maybe…” you breathed out softly, but silently adding,
I love you anyway.
“(Y/N)?”
He spoke your name with such a grace that you couldn’t describe; almost like a viper deceiving its prey and you weren’t so easily fooled. You could see through his disguise.
“Yes?” you asked a bit impatiently.
His lips stretched into a devilish grin, “It was exhilarating, I would gladly try to take over another world again. Killing all of those innocents was the best thing I’ve ever done. I almost got away with it, if it weren’t for the pathetic super mortals. And yet, here you are, speaking to a murderer and traitor at ease, and why? You want something from me, I know that, but what, I don’t know.”
You like to brag you got away with it,
Oh, your lustrous mind, high on pride.
Your stubborn soul is drowning in regret.
Your (e/c) gaze seared through him as you seethed in anger; he had pressed all of your buttons at once successfully. “I don’t want anything from you!
Oh, you cunning child, scandalous smiles!
You are unbelievable! I have no idea what your problem is! You weren’t like this before! Why are you like this now?
But I know that this isn’t you! Yes, I know that this isn’t you!” you ranted.
His smirk grew larger as you raved at him, “Does this attack you personally, my dearest, (Y/N)?”
You growled softly, “You were one of my few friends! Of course it bugs me! In fact, you were my best friend! Now you’re in prison for most of eternity. I hope you spend your years thinking of what you wasted and what you could’ve had. Loki, you are more than this, and I guess it was my mistake thinking you would go back to what you were. Thank you for the eye-opener. Farewell.”
Cause I see your soul,
And you’re not so,
When we are alone, but I
I love you anyway
I, I love you anyway.
You left the prison without another word, obviously unhappy. “I love you anyway.” you muttered as you batted your hair away from your face. No words of anyone could ever comfort you, not until Loki came back to what he was before. You were sure of your emotions now, and you couldn’t let Loki go, and you’d try your hardest to never forget the past.
I love you anyway.

Petty Epilogue [Loki | Midgardian! Reader]
The alarm clock sounded through the apartment. A hand reached out and slapped it to the floor, the person it was attached to letting out a groan right after - it was an accident, not so much as an aggressive gesture. And now your arm hurt. You didn't even put effort into leaning over the edge of the bed to check the damage you'd dealt to the alarm clock - you knew it was an unbreakable entity, so it would be good to go the next day too.
Your eyes fluttered open and stared into the ceiling of your apartment. It was rather bland. Maybe you could paint it in a better colour one of these days - maybe green. Or not. Your vision was hazy and your

Without notice the fallen mischievous Demi God had pulled you into his slender arms tightly, leaving small peppered kiss along the length of your slender neck, with each breath you took a small moan escaped your pale lips.
“Forgive me 'Name' please. I beg of you my fair maiden. It would never of come to this if not for my own forsaken indiscretion.” He breathed roughly into the nape of your neck. His hot breath curling intimately across your skin.

Mischief - LokixReader
“But I have things to do!” Your boyfriend, Loki, complains as you drag him to the Stark home theater.
“Like what?” You ask, still dragging him behind you.
“Like conquering the world!” He yells, mischievously.
“You can do that anyday,” you reply.
Yeah, but I can also watch Supernatural with you any day.” He whines as you open the door of the home theater.
“Yeah, but you can’t can’t watch the season premiere of Supernatural anyday.”
“Yes you can.” He says, sitting in his seat.
“That is an unspeakable crime!” You yell, overdramatic.

I love this! I think that all the Loki fans would find themselves in this situation. I heard such words from my Friends, Loki fans sooooo many times. I like Loki as well, but I don't believe him. I am happily bigger Thor's fan... but I totally understand these emotions You described. I think it is wonderful for the fan to read such things, to be able to really make such conversation with his/ her favourite character. Thank You for showing me this kind of literature, my dear!
