Dash ParrXReader Thankful (Drabble)

You were quite a lonely teenager. Your family wasn't around, you didn't really have a home, but you had your powers. Sometimes it was enough, other times, it wasn't. You had met someone because of them, so you had a lot you were thankful for. He seemed really dashing...maybe a bit tricky as well, but he was so devastatingly cute. Dash. You saw him running by, and you had to keep up, or at least try, but obviously, he left you in the dust. He came back for you, though, surprisingly enough. You became fast friends with this blonde teenage superhero. Now it was around Thanksgiving, and you had nobody to go to...and you were stuck outside in the cold.

"Hey, (Y/N)!"

"Hi, Dash. What's up?"

"Nothing really, my mom is preparing for Thanksgiving dinner, so I figured I'd get myself out of the house to see you."

"Oh. Nice." you tried to smile.

"What are you doing?" he asked you.

You shrugged, "Dying of boredom."

"You have nowhere to go?"

"Nope..."

"Hmm... I know! You can have dinner with us."

"You'd let me come over tonight?"

"Of course! You're special to me, (Y/N)."

"Okay, let me rephrase, will your parents let me come over tonight?"

"Sure they will! You've got powers, they'll welcome you, I'm a ninety-nine percent sure."

"So there's a slim chance that I'll be turned away."

"A VERY slim chance. Come on, they aren't bad people. Violet and Jack-Jack are annoying though, so I'm sorry in advance."

You blinked slowly, "If it's alright with you're parents...sure."

"Alright!" he picked you up without warning and ran to his house. Everything went by in a blur of color, it made you a bit dizzy. That was normal, however, but you loathed it and loved it at the same time. You hated at how sick you got when he picked you up to run, but you loved being held by him. The first time he picked you up, you were pretty sure that your face could pass as a rose, but luckily, you got used to the feeling now, other than the nausea that always occurred. Finally, he had stopped and you were slowly set down on the ground, leaving you slightly dizzy, and yep, nauseous.

"Why do you always do that without telling me?" you complained.

He shrugged slightly and opened his front door. "Mom! Dad?" he called, and he ushered you inside his pleasant house.

"Yes, Dash?" his mom, Ellen, called out from the kitchen, most likely.

"Is it alright if (Y/N) can eat with us today?"

"Of course! (Y/N)'s part of the family. How could I say no?"

You beamed, "Thank you Mrs. Parr!" you looked at Dash, "So what do we do now?"

"Wanna play a video game?"

"Sure!"

And with a blink of an eye, he rushed up to his room with you trailing him a lot slower. The two of you played a few games, but then it was time for dinner. You happily came downstairs with Dash and sat at the table next to him with his family. Before long, you dug in, and it was quite the delicious meal. When the day was over, you realized that this was the number one thing you were thankful for...the Parrs, and you wouldn't trade anything for them, but you would trade anything to keep them.
